Caloosahatchee Mindfulness is launching a new outreach program “Mindfulness Moment.”
This social media community outreach provides meaningful, supportive mindful living programs for the community, three days a week: Mindfulness Monday, Wisdom Wednesday, and Self-Care Saturday. Lee County residents can join on Caloosahatchee Mindfulness’s Facebook and Instagram. Each Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday facilitators offer insights into mindfulness, wisdom, and self-care. With today’s demanding situations, how to live well and calmly is of great benefit.
Three community-minded and experienced professionals are the facilitators. The Mindfulness Monday Facilitator Jan has applied many years of yoga practice, influenced by Buddhist precepts of mindfulness and compassion, in both her private life and her work as a psychotherapist. The second Facilitator is Valarie Olsen who will give insight into Wisdom on Wednesdays with the use of ancient Eastern and Western traditions along with her practices as a licensed Mental Health Counselor, a certified yoga teacher, and meditation. The third Facilitator is Christine “Cricket” Giles who is an Exercise Physiologist at Lee Health Cardiac Rehab who draws from her love and knowledge of Nutrition and Mindfulness. Caloosahatchee Mindfulness Outreach program will begin on September 5, 2020.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction(MBSR)
Caloosahatchee Mindfulness and Lotus Blossom Clinic are collaborating to offer Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction(MBSR). MBSR is an evidence-based, in-depth course that supports your own individual exploration and your commitment to practice through interactive in-class experiences. The course includes 8 weekly 2.5 hour classes, and a day-long retreat class between class 6 and class 7.
MBSR Orientation and the eight week course will be offered by Anne Louise Kracmer, LCSW. They will be live online using the Zoom video platform. Anne Louise has taken MBSR teacher training courses through the Centers for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, the University of California San Diego, and Brown University. In 2018 she became a Qualified MBSR Teacher through the University of Massachusetts.
To find out if MBSR is right for you, please attend one of the two free MBSR Orientation classes. Attendance at an MBSR Orientation is a prerequisite to registering for the 8-week MBSR course. You will be offered an opportunity to register for the full course during the orientation session. Classes 1 through 8--Sept 26, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, Nov. 14, & 21, 1:00-3:30 pm.
The all-day retreat takes place Nov. 7 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Cost for the 8 weekly sessions plus the all-day retreat day is $199.

Caloosahatchee Rising Tide Sangha
Meets every every 1st and 3rd Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon via Zoom. The morning features mindfulness meditation, mindful movements or touching the earth and deep sharing.
The weekly discussions usually involve examples of how to apply the mindfulness practices which are studied. Even if the practices are unfamiliar, there is something of value to be gained in the discussion and the ability to share from personal experiences.

Caloosahatchee Rising Tide Sangha's Midweek Mindfulness
Starting in September, Midweek Mindfulness is back online! On Wednesday, September 9th and 23rd (2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month) at 5:00pm-6:00pm on Zoom, we will meet as a sangha for meditation and deep sharing. This is a great opportunity to check in with yourself, and the sangha during the week. So come relax and calm the mind and body, and practice meditation and deep listening together with us.
Our weekly discussions usually involve examples of how we’ve applied the mindfulness practices we study. Even if you are not familiar with the practice, you are likely to find something of value in the discussion and be able to share from your own experiences if you choose.
