Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Caloosahatchee Mindfulness is offering Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction(MBSR), an evidence-based, in-depth course that supports your own individual exploration and your commitment to practice through interactive in-class experiences. The course includes 8 weekly 2.5 hour classes, and a day-long retreat class between class 6 and class 7.

MBSR Orientation and the eight week course will be offered by Anne Louise Kracmer, LCSW. They will be live online using the Zoom video platform. Anne Louise has taken MBSR teacher training courses through the Centers for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, the University of California San Diego, and Brown University. In 2018 she became a Qualified MBSR Teacher through the University of Massachusetts.

To find out if MBSR is right for you, please attend one of the two free MBSR Orientation classes. Attendance at an MBSR Orientation is a prerequisite to registering for the 8-week MBSR course. This course is offered four times a year with the dates to be announced in the near future.

MBSR is also available to businesses and corporations for training.

MBSR program consists of an Orientation Session and eight classes of two-and-half hours.

There will be an all-day retreat from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Cost for the 8 weekly sessions plus the all-day retreat day is $199.

Caloosahatchee Rising Tide Sangha's Saturday on Zoom

Caloosahatchee Rising Tide Sangha meets one Saturday a month from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon via Zoom. The morning features mindfulness meditation, mindful movements or touching the earth and deep sharing.

The weekly discussions usually involve examples of how to apply the mindfulness practices which are studied. Even if the practices are unfamiliar, there is something of value to be gained in the discussion and the ability to share from personal experiences.

Weekly Book Discussion

Come join a weekly discussion of books with a theme of mindfulness. Each participant has the opportunity to speak from their life experience to the ideas written by an author. All book selections with a theme of mindfulness, are made by the group.

Caloosahatchee Rising Tide Sangha's Midweek Mindfulness

Midweek Mindfulness is back online! Every Wednesday at 6:30pm-8:00pm on Zoom, we will meet as a sangha for meditation and deep sharing. This is a great opportunity to check in with yourself, and the sangha during the week. So come relax and calm the mind and body, and practice meditation and deep listening together with us.

Our weekly discussions usually involve examples of how we’ve applied the mindfulness practices we study. Even if you are not familiar with the practice, you are likely to find something of value in the discussion and be able to share from your own experiences if you choose.
